Hotel Overview

The Flying Pig Uptown Hostel offers a laid-back atmosphere in a centrally located Amsterdam townhouse. Situated just steps from Vondelpark, it's within walking distance of major attractions including the Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum, and Leidseplein, making it an ideal base for exploring the city by foot, bike, or tram.

Spread over six floors, the hostel retains its charm but guests should note there is no elevator, with all rooms accessed via the main staircase.

Amenities include a private guests-only bar, an indoor smoking room, complimentary wireless internet access, and a 24-hour front desk with a safe deposit box. Guests can enjoy karaoke, utilize the shared kitchen to prepare meals, and find snacks from around-the-clock vending machines. A continental breakfast, described as scrumptious and homemade, is available daily from 8 AM to 10 AM for a fee. Daily housekeeping, luggage storage, and coffee/tea in a common area are also provided.

The 30 individually decorated guestrooms are equipped with showers, hair dryers, and toiletries. Some rooms also feature refrigerators and microwaves, and linen service is available.

Important policies include a strictly over 18s age requirement and a 7-day maximum stay. Guests must present a valid, physical passport or EU ID card for check-in; photocopies or pictures are not accepted. Groups of 9 or more guests may be subject to additional terms and conditions and should contact the hostel before booking.
